WILLIAM KUOPPALA
TROPICAL PATIO PAVER PROJECT

Here is my submission into the contest. It took me just over two months (with 30 molds) to make all the 6x12 pavers, poured 1.5" thick. There are about 1000 of them and maybe one hundred 6x6 cobbles. I was going for a tropical atmosphere even though we are located one hour north of the US border in Canada. I am a firm believer in creating spaces where people want to be, and think we achieved that with the help of your molds. There are no pavers like this available locally, and if there were, they would not have been affordable. We managed to do this whole project for probably less than $2,000, by making the pavers and scavenging used or leftover block and brick. People have estimated the value at $30,000! And it's virtually maintenance free. Still missing is the pizza oven, which will be built into the corner next to the brick barbecue this fall. If you want more information, I'm happy to share it.

Thanks for your great products,

William Kuoppala - Penticton, British Columbia, Canada
