Patio Paver Project by
Timothy Bohinski

Hello,
Here is a little backstory for my entry into the contest.  My fiance and I purchased a town home that had a backyard full of weeds and ivy and no grass. Over the course of a 6 months I dug the whole yard up and planted a lawn. The next 6 months I made over 500 pavers from olde worlde stone and tile (8-12 at a time) in the basement of my home.  I used different dyes to make different shades of reds and browns.  With the help of some compatriots we installed the patio in one weekend. The patio is 125sq ft with a 30 sqft walkway that has a right angle turn. The border is all in grey stone.  A grey cross pattern is worked into the main patio area.  We use it all the time for entertaining, eating meals, and spending time relaxing by the fire, thinking about and enjoying how much money we saved by doing it ourselves.
